ABOUT US
Help Rural Nepal has been supporting local communities in the remote Dhading district of Nepal since 2009. We have primarilary focused on health and education projects.
In 2015 two huge earthquakes devastated many areas of Nepal where homes, schools and historic buildings were destroyed and many still lie in ruins.
The epicenter of the first earthquake was in the Dhading area where houses, schools and roads were badly damaged or destroyed and many people are still living in temporary buildings. Many families lost everything including their livestock.
Since the earthquakes Help Rural Nepal, together with our Nepali Partner NGO Pathe Nepal have been concentrating on helping communities recover. This has been by helping to rebuild school buildings, delivering new books and equipment to schools as well as assisting micro financing schemes to enable people to buy replacement animals.
Everyone has been so very generous with their donations and we will continue to help these rural communities both immediately and in the longer term.
2018 marked our 10 year anniversary for the charity.
